Curing Sensitivity to Cold and Sweets With a Gum Graft in Portsmouth, NH
One-quarter to one-third of teeth have a gap between the protective surface of the root (cementum) and the enamel. This gap causes sensitivity to sweets and to cold temperatures with even mild recession. Using a microsurgical grafting technique, we were able to cover the gap in our patient’s canine tooth. She loves the way it looks, and she is happily back to eating dessert.
